How the Grammar Battle game works

Grammar Battle is a short correction game for learners who want to practise making a sentence right, not only reading a rule. Each run shuffles 20 questions from the built-in question bank. You see an incorrect sentence, type a corrected version, and select Check Answer. The game then shows the expected sentence and a plain-English explanation. A hint can point you towards the grammar pattern without giving away the correction, and your score, accuracy, and current streak update as you play.

What you can practise

The question bank covers subject-verb agreement, verb tense, prepositions, articles, gerunds, modal verbs, comparisons, sentence structure, and countable or uncountable nouns. It also includes common Singapore English and Singlish-to-standard-English rewrites, such as replacing a local phrase with a clearer sentence for an international workplace. The range is designed for short review sessions rather than a formal placement test.

Who is it for?

How to combine the game with Grammar Checker

Use the game to recall a rule, then use the Grammar Checker on your own email, CV sentence, or paragraph. If the checker flags a phrase you keep missing, return to the game and look for the same pattern in the explanation. You can also read the guide to learning English with grammar games for a longer practice routine.
